One night, I saw a snail near some bushes. It moved very slowly with the shell on its back. As I saw it moves, a picture of the people (maybe anyone of us) with a burden on their shoulders flashed in my mind. The burden was about the workload, the family burden, the unhappy past events…
The following night, I saw a bird which was holding a small piece of bread with its beak. Suddenly, a verse flashed in my mind also. “Look at the birds of air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?”
Then I deeply feel that there is no need for us to live like the snail. We can live like the bird so easily and freely. It depends on how we choose our ways of living – we strive for everything by ourselves or we rely on God. God promises to supply everything that we need everyday.
